Many Hands
$24.99family chore & mental load planner — one purchase, no subscription
Many Hands is a family chore and mental load planner. It puts every household task in one place — the ones everyone sees and the ones one person has quietly been carrying — gives each a clear owner, and lets the whole family check things off through the week.
You start from a list of 80 household tasks across eight areas of home life, or from a blank page. Each task notes how far ahead someone needs to start thinking about it, because remembering the dentist appointment is work too. Tasks can be handed out three ways: a parent assigns them, everyone picks their own, or a random draw.
There is a weekly view for the household and a chart for each person, kids included, and you can print one sheet per person for the fridge. An optional game mode lets the family earn points together toward rewards you set, with no rankings. It is a private web app: one purchase, no account, and your family's information stays on your own device.
How it works
After purchase you unlock Many Hands with your Etsy order number — there is nothing to install and no account to create. Add the people in your household, choose your starting list, and hand out the first week. It is designed for one shared family tablet, works offline once opened, and can be added to the home screen like an app.
Questions
Is this an app I download, or a printable?
It is a private web app that opens in your browser, and it also prints. You unlock it with your Etsy order number, add it to your home screen if you like, and print a weekly chart for each person whenever you want one on the fridge.
Is there a subscription?
No. It is a one-time purchase. There is no account to create and nothing to renew.
Where is my family's information stored?
On your own device, in the browser. Nothing is uploaded. The app reminds you to export a backup file, and on an iPhone or iPad you should add it to the home screen so the data is kept.
Can everyone use it on their own phone?
Many Hands lives on one device and is designed for a shared family tablet. It does not sync between phones. Printed charts cover everyone who is not at the tablet.
Do the kids have to compete?
No. The optional game mode is cooperative: the whole family earns points together, builds weekly streaks, and works toward rewards a parent sets. There are no rankings.
